Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS DDI?

Delivery Drivers, Inc. (DDI) is a third-party administrator with a singular focus-to bring Human Resource and Driver Management solutions for business owners operating with independent contractors. DDI’s mission is to serve, provide advocacy and leadership to independent contractors in the global gig economy.

WHAT SERVICES DOES DDI PROVIDE?

We have three main functions for independent contractors that choose to partner with us; accounting, insurance, and enrollments.

WHAT DO DDI PARTNERS DELIVER?

Deliveries are available for a wide variety of industries. We have clients and driver-partners in all different industries, including grocery delivery, auto parts delivery, restaurant/food delivery, and even medical/blood supplies. WHAT IF I AM NOT A DELIVERY DRIVER?

Delivery Drivers, Inc. works with many different clients in all different industries. We work with independent contractors and self-employed individuals who work as technicians, delivery drivers, movers, builders, and even cat sitters.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO START WORKING?

Our signup process takes just a few minutes. Depending on what screening
products the client you are partnering with requires, you can be ready to accept work within as little as an hour.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BE A DRIVER-PARTNER?

To earn money, all you need is a smartphone (for most clients) and a mode of transportation, such as a small vehicle or van, and a clean driving record.

ARE THERE CAR REQUIREMENTS TO START DRIVING?

For most clients, no, you can use any car to drive, deliver, and earn. You just need a valid driver’s license and insurance. All vehicles are welcome.

WHY SHOULD I BE A DRIVER-PARTNER?

You’re the boss. As an independent contractor, you have the flexibility and freedom to drive whenever you want. You can make it full-time, part-time, or once in a while-and deliver anytime. It’s a great alternative to seasonal, temporary, and part-time work.

DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE TO BE A DRIVER-PARTNER?

No, you don’t need any prior work experience. But if you do have previous
experience in the rideshare, food, or courier service industries, great! We welcome drivers from other gig economy or commercial services such as UberEats, Postmates, Lyft, Caviar, Eat24, Google Express, GrubHub, Doordash, Instacart, Amazon, Uber, Waitr, and Bite Squad. Driver-partners come from all backgrounds and industries and include catering drivers, truck drivers, and taxi drivers.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FOOD DELIVERY AND RIDESHARE?

With delivery, there are two big differences:

  1. You don’t have passengers in your car.
  2. You can use any mode of transportation: your car!

HOW DO I GET PAID?

For the majority of our clients, the pay period is Monday to Sunday, and you will receive your earnings deposited into your bank account on the Friday of each week for the previous week’s work.

Example: You will receive your settlement on Friday, May 21st for the work completed on May 10th – May 16th.
